GP Permanent Mackay (Health Workforce Queensland)
This Medical Practice is owned by an Indigenous community organisation that also runs a large affordable housing program and many health, family support and employment projects that provide benefits to the whole community.
The Medical Practice is seeking a Permanent General Practitioner on a full-time basis for an immediate start. The practice is based south of Townsville.
The centre is operated as a bulk billing practice with a focus on comprehensive preventative health care and the management of chronic illnesses.
The centre has 2 consulting rooms, a procedure room, tea room and 2 areas for visiting allied health specialists. On staff are a Practice Manager, part time Registered Nurse, Aboriginal Health Worker, and a Trainee Aboriginal Health Worker/Receptionist. The Practice is housed in a duplex building with a dental practice as a neighbour.
The clients you will be working with are a mixture of the whole community, elderly, families with children, mums and bubs and single people either residents or visitors to our beautiful town.
